SUMMER 2025

What a beautiful summer season celebrating 6 months with Calvary Chapel Crossroads it has been, full of testimonies expressing the Lord’s undeniable glory and many learning curves!

YOUTH MINISTRY

SUMMER CAMPS

Over the course of the summer, Calvary Chapel Crossroads hosted many summer camp programs including a middle school camp, high school camp, and Duolos. Every week consisted of kids learning more about the Lord’s character as a servant and their own decisions with the theme of Life vs Death as various guest speakers and teachers within the church visited every night with messages full of Scripture and the Spirit. Kids from all over the East Coast came to spend quality time with the Lord and in this unique fellowship.

While I was there, it was a blessing to work alongside the kids on projects around the property and encouraging the teams. The most memorable project from the weeks was building a cross out of an old beam with my team for the day, and during the process of making the cross rugged and stained, we reflected on the loving act our Savior displayed for us in this symbol.

There was so much more evidence of God in the details through these summer camps, so feel free to contact me for many more stories and testimonies from this season!

WORSHIP TEAM

This summer blessed me with the opportunity to contribute within the worship team at Calvary Chapel! What started as occasionally lending a helping hand on the piano for Wednesday youth group meetings, slowly transitioned into joining the worship team at weekly practices and being a part of leading the congregation on Sunday mornings in praise. Our Lord is worthy of every ounce we can give Him, and I am so happy that I get to share the gifts He gave me on the piano and with supporting vocals to encourage the attitudes and gratitude of others.

FUTURE PLANS

Now that the busyness of summer is slowing down, I have begun to work on various media projects including Sunday slides, youth group slides and branding, and editing recorded Sunday sermons. The young adults ministry within the church is also brainstorming different ways to support the local community and spread the gospel to those close to home.

The Lord has also led me to apply and join the Hope For Appalachia program for their Christmas Mission Trip this December! I am so excited to join familiar faces in spreading the joy of Jesus’s birth with the children of the area as well as providing the communities with warm clothing and blankets to help them with the upcoming cold weather. This is definitely a step of faith as I am going as an individual separate from my church with the organization, but God is already providing for every step forward in the planning and preparation of this mission.
