Hello!
My name is Dayna, and I am a 24 year old artist of many mediums who graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia now working as a part-time missionary with Calvary Chapel Crossroads. My years of studying and practicing communication and studio art have formed my desire to use art and conversation as a way to share and express new ideas and perspectives among others. As a Christian, all that I do uses this concept in order to glorify the original Creator of the world and Him alone. The love of God has a beautiful way of warmly revealing itself through artwork created by His people, especially when shared with others.
3 FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
My coffee shop order is a black tea with oat milk and toffee flavoring usually accompanied by a sweet treat
Classic jazz will always be my favorite music, especially anything sung by Ella Fitzgerald
I am very inspired by the artist Monet and his painting Woman with a Parasol for his color theory and capture of movement with impressionism

THE ARTIST
My earliest memories as a kid were of creating art, and I have continued to follow the wind of creativity as I grew older. My methods of creating expand through both physical and digital artistic techniques including acrylic painting, digital and charcoal drawing, murals, graphic design, photography, and videography. The ways of which I create are not limited to these forms as I constantly explore ways to bring joy to others through the endless possibilities of customization and detail in the art world. Every moment spent composing my artwork is devoted to the inclusion of the audience and the practically of its display in order to effectively portray its messages with utmost intention. Whether it is a simple advertisement design for a small business or a painting capturing a special moment for a family, you will witness a passionate artist excited to create gifts for others and artistically share our admirable God. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it!
THE MISSIONARY
I joined the staff of Calvary Chapel Crossroads at the beginning of February in 2025. The Lord prepared me for the various responsibilities I have here including assisting in the youth ministry with discipling the middle school girls as they discover who God is and who God calls them to be. I also help the church by using my creativity and skills for various media projects and administrative tasks.
It is a beautiful honor to not only give back to the church that has supported my spiritual maturity with their endless generosity, but to also participate in the same field of ministry that led me to God’s arms of grace. My first desire in all that I do is to bring glory to my good Father through the servanthood and sanctification that He guides me through.
