About Me

Hello!

My name is Dayna, and I am a 23 year old artist of many mediums who graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia now working as a part-time missionary with Calvary Chapel Crossroads. My years of studying and practicing communication and studio art have formed my desire to use art and conversation as a way to share and express ideas and perspectives among others. As a Christian, all that I do uses this concept in order to glorify the original Creator of the world and Him alone. The love of God has a beautiful way of warmly revealing itself through artwork created by His people, especially when shared with others.

The Artist

My methods of creating expand through both physical and digital artistic techniques including acrylic painting, digital and charcoal drawing, graphic design, photography, and videography. The ways of which I create are not limited to these forms as I constantly explore ways to bring joy to others through considerate customization and deep attention to detail. Every moment spent composing my artwork is intensely devoted to the inclusion of the audience, the influence it has on the environment, and the practically of its display in order to effectively portray its messages with utmost clarity and intention.

Please take the time to view my portfolio as an example of myself and the way I artistically share the God I admire. Whether it is a simple advertisement design in a window of a small business that catches your eye, or a painting capturing a special moment for a family that touches your heart, you will witness a passionate artist excited to create for request, gifts, and self-expression. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it!

The Missionary

I joined the staff of Calvary Chapel Crossroads at the beginning of February in 2025. The Lord guided me to and prepared me for the various responsibilities I have here including assisting in the youth ministry with guiding the middle school girls as they discover who God is and who God calls them to be as. I also am gifted the opportunity to help with using my creativity and skills for various media projects and administrative tasks.

It is a beautiful honor to be here to not only give back to the church that has supported my spiritual maturity with their endless and glorifying generosity, but to also participate in the same field of ministry that led me to God’s arms of grace. This position calls for constant trust as well as vulnerability for what the Lord has in store for my personal transformation as well as my journey through this life. My first desire in all that I do is to bring glory to my good Father through the servanthood and sanctification that He guides me through.

Feel free to read through my testimony to get to know more about my personal walk with the Lord and subscribe to my newsletter to see how the Lord is using me as a vessel to support His church and how you can support my mission.
